On October 21, 2022, longtime rival high schools Garfield and Roosevelt played in front of forty-three thousand spectators.

The event featured a halftime performance from the Black Eyed Peas and raised over $200,000 in revenue for their respective schools’ sports programs.

Ultimately, Garfield came out victorious with a 16-8 lead over Roosevelt.
